Our Board
We couldn’t do this without you.
We are so grateful for our board. Although Home for Freedom is a non-profit, and consists of volunteers, we still have to run our organization smoothly, so our veterans will benefit. While volunteers are out serving in the field, through construction, home repair, cemetery upkeep, etc., our volunteer board sponsors are behind the scenes, taking care of Home for Freedom’s many needs. We could not exist without them, and we thank them! They take this job seriously, and volunteer their time and service out of concern for our veterans.
Jeanne Moore-Daniels
My name is Jeanne Moore-Daniels. My family has a long military history! My dad was stationed at Sheppard AFB, back in the 1940’s when it was actually an Army-Air Corp. base, and was named Sheppard Field. I had the honor of being born in the hospital there! Both of my brothers served our country; one in the Navy, and one in the Army. My husband is an Army veteran & served inVietnam. Our son retired from the Army after 24 years of service. So you can see why I consider being a part of Home for Freedom a privilege and a blessing!
Dorothy Rhone
My name is Dorothy Rhone. I met Lisa Lothenore when she came into my husband Dave’s office over 10 years ago. Dave, a land developer and real estate broker, provided many military customers with homes in the Wichita Falls community. He listened to Lisa present her vision of Home for Freedom, gave her suggestions and ideas, and enthusiastically encouraged her to pursue her goals.
Unfortunately, Dave passed away before those goals could be reached, but I have always supported and encouraged her project alongside him then and now. I, too, have always had a deep appreciation for our armed forces. My dad served in World War I, and Dave along with all of his brothers fought in World War II. Our son, who served in the Army, has retired as a Lieutenant Colonel. Our grandson, David, is an E6, serving in the U.S. Navy for 14 years, along with many others who have and are still serving.
Helping Lisa and our group of volunteers has been very gratifying for me. Although, at 93, my age has limited me. I am still truly dedicated to do all I can for this project. Also, we have learned of other community needs, such as improving our county cemetery where veteran members are buried in unmarked graves among weeds and poorly kept conditions. We have been delayed due to the Covid pandemic, but I want to continue to help with this worthwhile project, Home For Freedom. I am excited to see the steps of accomplishment we’re able to make!
Jim Presley
My name is Jim Presley. At first, I volunteered to help with the launch of Home for Freedom because I had a connection with a band that I thought would give a free concert to help kick things off. After I went to our first planning meeting and listened to Lisa’s vision, I wanted to do whatever I could to help honor our Veterans. I’m a 30-year veteran of the Air Force myself, and have seen some of the hardships our men and women of the military endure, especially those who have sustained major injuries and are now unemployable. Many people empathize, but few will step up to help. We want to step up. We want to provide a fully furnished home, free and clear to a deserving veteran. Then we want to do the same for another and another, so each will have a Home for Freedom!
Retired Command Chief Master Sergeant Robert Stivers and his wife Martha (Martie):
Our names are Bob and Martie Stivers. Martie and I served in the United States Air Force for 30 years. After retiring, we were introduced to Home For Freedom. We knew this was a place where we could give back to show our support for what we received while serving. Home For Freedom’s mission to provide renewed respect and appreciation to military veterans really impressed Martie and I. All our Veterans deserve the respect and appreciation for the sacrifices they made for this great country. For us, doing nothing is not acceptable. Martie and I see the need and are proud to do our part by serving with Home For Freedom.
Joel Jimenez:
My name is Joel Jimenez. I’m involved with Home for Freedom because I am helping a dear friend of mine make a vision and dream come true. We want to help God’s Veterans obtain the best quality of life they deserve so much. As a combat Veteran, I have gone through many of these trials and hardships in life. I am grateful for organizations like Home for Freedom that make a special effort to care for Veterans like me. To obtain that peace of mind to be a better husband, a better father, a better man, who many would say, “I love that man and we are so proud of him.” Many of our mental scars can be healed and will be healed by our faith in God and in people that will help, like Home for Freedom.
We were all put on this earth not to make millions of dollars, but to help millions of Veterans and people obtain that comfort zone in life. To be at peace with God, at peace with your family, at peace with your fellow man, so we can all wake up the next morning knowing that we did our best the day before.
This is why I am with Home for Freedom… I can say we helped a Veteran, and I did my best.
Kenny Reynolds:
My name is Kenny Reynolds. Having spent time in Vietnam and having many brothers that were there, I couldn’t help but have a huge heart for Veterans. I have seen many brothers laid to rest, and I have seen many brothers struggling to survive with mental, physical and financial difficulties. I know many of them have continually struggled to get help (myself included.) Home for Freedom is a way to help and support our Veterans at home.
Tasha Music:
My name is Tasha Music. I am an Air Force Veteran and Active-Duty spouse. Home for Freedom was something that immediately caught my attention as something I knew I wanted to put my focus on. As a Veteran and someone who has family and friends who have given their lives for the military, it would be my honor to aid in the efforts Home for Freedom believes in.
Nancy Dickinson
My name is Nancy Dickinson. I am a retired Air Force veteran. Having spent time in several war zones such as Operation Iraqi Freedom, I have witnessed my brothers and sisters face injuries and death. I also witnessed, and continue to witness, my brothers and sisters, including myself, from every era struggle to survive with mental, physical, and financial issues. Every veteran in this country is my brother or sister! My heart will always be with them and for them in any capacity needed. Home For Freedom is an organization with my same heart and desire to help and support our Veterans here at home!

Retired Command Chief Master Sergeant Robert Stivers and his wife Martha (Martie):
Our names are Bob and Martie Stivers. Martie and I served in the United States Air Force for 30 years. As with all service members, we had our ups and downs. It was especially during those hard times when our fellow service members came forward to provide guidance or assistance in getting us through difficult times. We thank God for every one of them.
After retiring, we were introduced to Home For Freedom. We knew this was a place where we could give back to show our support for what we received. Home For Freedom’s mission to provide renewed respect and appreciation to military Veterans really impressed Martie and me. All our Veterans deserve the respect and appreciation for the sacrifices they made for this great country. It saddens us to hear of a veteran that has difficulty with their daily living routine due to their home not being configured for their disabilities, or to go to a grave site of a veteran and see their marker in disrepair. I could only imagine the look on the face of a veteran that received a service dog, making their life easier and happier.
This is what Home For Freedom is all about: helping by providing guidance in the right direction, financial assistance for needed health equipment, repair of disabled Veterans’ homes, and assistance in many other areas as needs come up. We know the VA can help, and I am very appreciative of all that the Veterans Administration does for me and my wife. But many Veterans don’t know how to get started, so they do nothing.
For us, doing nothing is not acceptable. Martie and I see the need and are proud to do our part by serving with Home For Freedom.
